From a YouTube link to your file.
A practical guide to choosing a format, preparing your download and finding the finished file.
Copy the video link
Open the YouTube video you own or have permission to download. Use Share → Copy link, or copy the address from your browser. Regular watch links, youtu.be links and supported Shorts links can be pasted into the tool.
Paste it into YT Video Save
Use the YouTube downloader for video and audio choices, the MP3 converter for audio, or the MP4 downloader for video. Paste the link and press Download. Your results open on the download page.
Choose a format and quality
Check the title and thumbnail, then select an available quality. MP4 choices include video with sound. The MP3 section offers 128, 256 and 320 kbps options. File sizes marked “About” are estimates. Every video quality is visible, but files above 2 GB cannot be downloaded.
For videos over two hours, the provider may return original audio instead of the selected MP3 conversion. If all three MP3 sizes match, we hide the sizes and show an explanation. The download retains the provider’s filename.
Let the file prepare, then save it
Keep the page open while the progress panel updates. When preparation finishes, press Download file to save it. The file waits for your click. Links are temporary, and the results show the expiry time when available.
Find your download
- Android — open your browser’s Downloads list or your file manager’s Downloads folder.
- iPhone and iPad — open the Files app and look in Downloads. Your Safari download settings determine the location.
- Windows, Mac and Linux — check your browser’s Downloads list and the download folder configured in its settings.
If something goes wrong
- Invalid link — paste the link to a single YouTube video.
- File over 2 GB — select a smaller quality.
- Unavailable video — the video may be removed, private or restricted. Try a different public video.
- Busy server or interrupted preparation — wait a moment and try again. The tool also retries failed processing jobs automatically, up to two times.
- Expired link — search for the video again to request a fresh result.
