How information moves through YT Video Save when you visit the site or request a download.

Last updated 7 November 2026.

Information used to provide the service

When you submit a YouTube link, our server receives the link or video identifier and your selected format. We send those details to the processing provider to retrieve video metadata and prepare the requested file.

As with other websites, hosting and network services can process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested URLs. These records support operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Requests can pass through our hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare.

Temporary browser storage

The downloader uses sessionStorage in your browser tab to carry the submitted YouTube link, selected tool mode and language to the results page. It stores those inputs rather than the API response. The information remains available for that tab’s session, including refreshes, and can be removed by closing the tab or clearing site data.

Cookies and WordPress

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and related site functions. The language system may use a preference cookie when a language is selected. Hosting or security infrastructure may also set operational cookies.

Third-party processing and downloads

Video requests are processed by the API at ytapi.wexify.online. Status checks and completed file downloads use infrastructure under flashydl.space. Your browser connects directly to those status and file services, which receive the technical information needed to handle the connection, including your IP address.

Video thumbnails load from YouTube image infrastructure. Following a source-video link opens YouTube. These third parties operate under their own practices and terms.

Storage and retention

Our downloader integration does not persist API responses, video metadata, job status or download links in a website cache. We use Redis to cache normal WordPress data and short-lived request counters. The processing provider prepares and temporarily stores download files. Its reported link expiry is shown when available; link expiry does not establish the provider’s full retention or deletion policy.

Server logs, backups and support emails have separate operational lifecycles. We do not promise a specific deletion period for third-party records. Contact us if you need details about a particular request.

Support enquiries

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you include. We use this information to respond and investigate the enquiry.

Your choices and questions

You can stop using the service, clear browser storage and cookies, and avoid sending optional information in support emails. For privacy questions or requests concerning information we control, contact [email protected]. Include enough detail to identify the request without sending sensitive credentials.

Updates

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest published revision.
