Which MP3 bitrate should I choose?
128 kbps usually makes a smaller file. 256 and 320 kbps use more space. The quality you hear still depends on the source audio, and increasing the bitrate cannot recover missing detail.
Can I download only the audio?
Yes. The YouTube to MP3 page opens the results with the audio choices. Select an available bitrate and wait for your file to finish preparing. You can also use the MP4 downloader for video.
Where does my downloaded file go?
Your browser saves it to your selected download location. On Android, check Downloads. On iPhone or iPad, check Downloads in the Files app. You can also open your browser’s download list.
Why do some file sizes say “About”?
Some sizes are estimates before the file is prepared. “About” distinguishes those estimates from exact sizes. The completed file can be a little larger or smaller.
What happens with audio longer than two hours?
The provider may return original audio instead of converting a long video to the selected MP3 bitrate. When the three MP3 choices report the same size for a video over two hours, we hide their sizes and explain the fallback. We preserve the provider’s filename.
Why might a YouTube download fail?
A video may be private, removed, restricted or unavailable to the processing service. A temporary provider error can also interrupt a job. Try a different public video or retry later. Our download guide explains the common errors.
